40 Days of Gifts, Daily Devotional Day 1
Each day for the next 40 days we will connect with God through Sunday sermons, small group studies, scripture memorization, and a daily devotional. This series will change how you live out your faith as you learn to allow God to do the supernatural through allowing Him to work in you to be glorified and to bless others in the church.
Scripture: "About spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant." 1 Corinthians 12:1
Observation: Paul felt that the only real church was one in which spiritual gifts flowed in the people of God to bless others in the church. As he addressed some imbalance in the church at Corinth, he focused them on the proper use of spiritual gifts. He didn't say stop using supernatural gifts; he urged the church to learn to use gifts so God was glorified and the church was blessed.
Application: God wants to use you to bless the church! You are an essential part of God's family, and learning to allow Him to flow in your life is a critical part of being in God's family. Be open to learning over the next 40 days how to increase your capacity for God to work in your life.
Prayer: Pray today that God makes you open to learning something new about how He works in your life and how we work together to bless each other in the church. Confess the limits you have placed on God and ask Him to push you past the limits over the next 40 days.
